Curious Texture and Copper Gaze
This owl was crocheted freehand and given beautiful button eyes which were reclaimed from a blouse purchased at a thrift store.
The body is a mottled grey and white as two kinds of yarn were used together. The texture is curious, almost rough and very firm to touch. The beak is bumpy and rough. The yarn is made of unknown man made fibers, most likely polyester or acrylic, and stuffed with with polyester fiber fill. The good news about man made fibers is that if needed this owl could be gently handwashed in cold water and mild detergent, lightly squeezed in a towel and then left out to air dry.
The large plastic button eyes were reclaimed from a thrift store blouse. They are greatly detailed plastic buttons with a coppery look.
The owl measures about 3 inches by 3 inches and is very light and squeezable.
