This owl was crocheted freehand and given beautiful shiny black faceted upcycled button eyes.
The body is a mottled gray and white as two kinds of yarn were used together. The texture is curious, almost rough and very firm to touch. The beak is bumpy and rough and a dark gray for great contrast. The yarn is made of unknown man made fibers, most likely polyester or acrylic, and stuffed with polyester fiber fill.
The beautifully detailed vintage feel plastic button eyes were reclaimed. The centers are shiny black and faceted surrounded by an intricate gold metallic design.
The owl measures about 3 inches by 3 inches and is very light.
