This owl was crocheted freehand and given detailed upcycled metal button eyes.
The body is a mottled brown and white, soft and fuzzy, lovely to touch, with a rough off white beak. The yarn is made of unknown man made fibers, most likely polyester or acrylic, and the owl is stuffed with polyester fiber fill. The good news about man made fibers is that if needed this owl could be gently hand washed in cold water and mild detergent, lightly squeezed in a towel and then left out to air dry.
The interestingly detailed metal button eyes have lovely scroll work and have been enhance with black painted centers with a polyurethane finish for gloss and durability.
The owl measures about 3 1/4 inches by 3 inches and is very light and squeezable.
