Rough and Copper

This owl was crocheted freehand and given beautiful button eyes which were reclaimed from a blouse purchased at a thrift store.

The body is a mottled gray as it was crocheted with two colors of gray yarn together. The yarn is rough, textured and tightly woven to touch, the beak is also textured and bumpy. The yarn is made of unknown man made fibers, most likely polyester or acrylic, and stuffed with with polyester fiber fill.

The large plastic button eyes were reclaimed from a thrift store blouse. They are greatly detailed plastic buttons with a coppery look. The center has been enhanced with sharpie, but it shows more in the picture than in real life for some reason.

The owl measures about 3 inches by 3 inches and is very light and squeezable.
