Snowy Owl Amigurumi

This owl was crocheted freehand and given beautiful upcycled brass button eyes.

The body is a soft glossy white with a black fleck, lovely to touch. The beak is a pure white in a smaller more refined crochet stitch. The yarn is made of unknown man made fibers, most likely polyester or acrylic, and the owl is stuffed with polyester fiber fill.

The beautifully detailed brass button eyes have a floral motif and have been enhanced with black paint and protected with polyurethane for shine, durability and to protect the buttons from tarnishing.

The owl measures about 3 inches by 3 inches and is very light to hold.  It is quite malleable and adjustable,  and as the pictures show, you can even make it take on different shapes. With a bit of preening and primping of the ears and beak and moving the eyes, you can make it look just the way you prefer.

Here's some of the owls hanging out together before they go off on their separate ways.

* Pair of Soft White Owls with Heart Bead Eyes and Cozy Nest.

This sweet pair of handmade, crocheted owls were created freehand and given little heart shaped metal beads for eyes. 

The little owls bodies are crocheted from a pure white, very soft chenille yarn, lovely to touch. The beak is a fuzzy reddish brown, possibly angora. The owl bodies yarn is made of unknown man made fibers, most likely polyester or acrylic, and the owl is stuffed with with polyester fiber fill. If needed these owls could be gently hand washed in cold water and mild detergent, lightly squeezed in a towel and then left out to air dry. These owls may do best if handled gently as the nature of chenille is delicate.

The silver toned metal bead eyes are heart shaped and  have some detail which gives them extra detail.

These owls also come with their own little nest crocheted from garden twine.  The nest is rough and stiff and holds its shape when handled.

The owls individually measure about an 1 1/4 wide each. The larger owl is about 1 3/4 inches high and the smaller one is only 1 1/2 inches high.

The good news about man made fibers is that if needed this owl could be gently hand washed in cold water and mild detergent, lightly squeezed in a towel and then left out to air dry.

The glass bead button eyes give this owl a real lively expression.

The owl is tiny  measuring about 1 1/2 inches by 1 inch and is tiny enough to carry in your pocket everywhere.

The metal heart bead eyes have a small glass bead sewn into the center for even more detail.  The owl measures about 1 3/4 inches by 1 1/2  inches and is small enough to take everywhere in your pocket.
